<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Not if you shot your film on Kodachrome 40. In which case it would look better than a Mini-DV movie blown up to 35mm.

Hey, what the **** is this thread about? I have been doing actual work (as opposed to video stuff) for the last couple weeks and haven't posted as much. Does Frostine just want a good book? GFHB is fine, Irvings is more of a film school thing. As far as just wanting to 'go for it' with a 16mm film. Go for it. What is the problem?

I think 28 days was recently covered in another topic.

I'd rather have a million dollar budget and shoot super-8 versus a one million dollar budget to shoot mini-dv.

I won't comment directly on 28 days because I haven't seen it yet, but if I can still find it in the theatres soon I'll definitely give it a go.

Let me just add that if I had $10,000 to make a feature, I'd probably do it in Mini-DV rather than Super-8.

    Hi There

Having shot on both 16mm and super8 formats Id just to add something.

If you are determined to shoot on 16mm film, and have never done it before, then I would seriously invest only 13 english quid, on a super8 Kodachrome cartridge borrow a super8 camera and just film something- anything: trains, a carpark, a stop motion animation, two people talking, birds in the sky - whatever.
    THEN try 16mm.
Ill absolutley guarantee to you that this money will not be wasted- hey and I dont make money from super8 sales.

    Cheers and good luck.
